Hi Julia – great question. From what I’ve seen, restaurants have narrowed it down to two types of marketing – The main call to action at the moment is Delivery, Delivery, Delivery – this is the only current lifeline businesses have, so they are marketing this heavily of social media. I’ve not seen any traditional advertising, through print or radio recently – i’ve think that has all been put on hold.
The second type of messaging is just awareness that the business is still there, through cooking videos, staff videos etc.
Marketing spend it used ultimately to drive revenue, and that revenue is severely limited at the moment.
